Frequently Asked Questions
Does CMR accept unsolicited reviews?
Authors of unsolicited manuscripts are invited to submit their proposal as a Presubmission Inquiry via the eJP online submission and peer review system. For more information on preparing a proposal, see the Instructions to Authors.
When will my article be published?
Unfortunately, sometimes it's difficult to provide a definitive date until the article is near the end of the production process. For an update on your article's status contact the production editor.
How often are issues published?
CMR follows a continuous publication model; articles are published online as they become ready. The articles are collected into issues that are published 4 times a year, online only.
I have submitted the corrected proofs of my article; may I make additional changes (revising the text, adding a coauthor, etc.) to the paper?
If you would like to make additional changes to the article after the proofs have been returned, send an email outlining the changes with an explanation to the production editor. The production editor will contact you to determine the next steps.
My institution wants to issue a press release; whom do I contact at ASM about it?
Please contact the production editor for information about coordinating a press release for your article.
What is the cost to publish in CMR?
There are no fees to publish in CMR.
Are CMR articles deposited in PubMed Central (PMC)?
